I’ve spent most of my life believing that attachment was a liability.

Then "Jessica Honworts" changed everything....... suddenly I found myself memorizing the sound of her laughter like it was something worth protecting.

She is chaos wrapped in warmth.

I should stay away from her.

God knows I’ve tried.

And that is dangerous. Not because she would hurt me. Because she could make me want a life I can never have

But when she smiles at me like I’m just a man instead of something feared…

For a few selfish moments, I let myself pretend.

Then I met Luca Volkows.

He smiled at me like he already knew exactly what kind of person I was — clumsy, stubborn, too emotional for my own good — and somehow that should’ve terrified me more than it did.

But Luca never felt loud-dangerous.

He felt quiet-dangerous.

Like standing too close to the edge of a rooftop at midnight.

Like someone who could ruin your life gently.

And the worst part?

"A part of me wanted to know what falling would feel like anyway."

And now I think the most dangerous thing about Luca Volkows isn’t the rumors surrounding him.

It’s that "when he looks at me"….

I start wanting impossible things too.
